Estimated GFR (CKD-EPI 2021)
Estimate glomerular filtration rate using the 2021 CKD-EPI creatinine-only equation, which the National Kidney Foundation and ASN jointly recommend as the race-free standard.

Example
- Serum creatinine
- 1.0 mg/dL
- Age
- 60 years
- Sex
- Female
Result: eGFR ~60 mL/min/1.73m^2
The tool opens with these values already filled in. Replace them with your own.
What you enter
- Serum creatinine
- Age
- Sex
What this is
Enter serum creatinine, age, and sex; Sophie Well returns the eGFR in mL/min/1.73 m^2. The 2021 equation drops the race coefficient that the prior 2009 CKD-EPI equation used.
When to use it
Use this anywhere you would have run CKD-EPI: medication dose adjustment, contrast risk assessment, CKD staging, or transplant eligibility math. For comparison with legacy values or Cockcroft-Gault-based dosing, the eGFR Suite tool shows MDRD (race-free) and Cockcroft-Gault on the same screen.
