What the result means
- Displacement
- a segment (articular surface, greater tuberosity, lesser tuberosity, surgical neck/shaft) is displaced when separated > 1 cm or angulated > 45°.
- Part count
- 1 + the number of displaced segments — an undisplaced fracture is one-part however many fracture lines it has. Higher counts are unstable with higher AVN risk.
