- Grades
- I incomplete/valgus-impacted, II complete nondisplaced, III complete partially displaced, IV complete fully displaced — graded on the AP radiograph.
- Grouping
- I–II stable/nondisplaced vs III–IV unstable/displaced — the split that drives internal fixation vs arthroplasty. The two-way grouping is the more reliable read.
