What the result means
- A
- One or more mucosal breaks <= 5 mm, not extending between the tops of two mucosal folds.
- B
- One or more mucosal breaks > 5 mm, not extending between the tops of two mucosal folds.
- C
- Mucosal break(s) continuous between the tops of >= 2 folds, but < 75% of the circumference.
- D
- Mucosal break(s) involving >= 75% of the esophageal circumference. Grades A-B mild, C-D severe.
