Digoxin Immune Fab (DigiFab) Dosing
Digoxin-immune-Fab (DigiFab) dosing: computes vials from a steady-state serum level and weight, a known amount ingested, or an empiric acute/chronic estimate.

Example
- Dosing basis
- Steady-state serum digoxin level + weight
- Steady-state serum digoxin level
- 4.5
- Body weight
- 70
Result: DigiFab 4 vials by steady-state serum level (4.5 ng/mL x 70 kg / 100, rounded up).
The tool opens with these values already filled in. Replace them with your own.
What the result means
- By level
- vials = serum digoxin level (ng/mL) x weight (kg) / 100; by amount ingested, vials = amount (mg) x 0.8 / 0.5 mg bound per vial. Rounded up to the next whole vial.
- Empiric
- acute ingestion 10-20 vials; chronic toxicity 3-6 vials. Confirm the dose against your institutional protocol and an independent second check.
What you enter
- Dosing basis
- Steady-state serum digoxin level (ng/mL)
- Body weight (kg)
- Known amount ingested (mg)
- Empiric setting
