What the result means
- Type I
- A single monoclonal immunoglobulin; associated with lymphoproliferative disorders.
- Type II
- Mixed: a monoclonal immunoglobulin plus polyclonal IgG; strongly linked to hepatitis C.
- Type III
- Mixed: polyclonal immunoglobulins only; autoimmune and chronic infectious diseases.
