What the result means
- Borderline
- Tubulitis with i0 or i1, or i2/i3 with t1 only. No intimal arteritis.
- IA / IB
- i2 or i3 with t2 (IA) or t3 (IB), and no intimal arteritis.
- IIA / IIB
- v1 mild to moderate intimal arteritis (IIA); v2 severe, over 25% of the lumen (IIB).
- III
- v3 transmural arteritis, or fibrinoid change with medial smooth-muscle necrosis.
