Agile 3+ (FibroScan Advanced Fibrosis Probability)

Agile 3+ (Sanyal 2023): a FibroScan-anchored probability of advanced (≥ F3) fibrosis in NAFLD from liver stiffness, AST, ALT, platelets, diabetes, sex, and age; < 0.451 rules out and ≥ 0.679 rules in.

Example

Liver stiffness (LSM) by VCTE / FibroScan
12 kPa
AST
50 IU/L
ALT
40 IU/L
Platelets
180 ×10⁹/L
Age
60 years
Sex
Male
Diabetes mellitus
Yes

Result: Agile 3+ 0.868 — advanced fibrosis ruled IN (≥ 0.679).

What the result means

Cut-points
< 0.451 rules OUT advanced fibrosis, ≥ 0.679 rules it IN, 0.451–0.679 indeterminate. Outperforms LSM alone; takes the LSM the operator reads from the device. A stratifier, not a biopsy order.

What you enter

  • Liver stiffness (LSM) by VCTE / FibroScan
  • AST
  • ALT
  • Platelets
  • Age
  • Sex
  • Diabetes mellitus
How this is calculated
Inputs
LSM (kPa) by VCTE / FibroScan, AST, ALT, platelets, age, sex, and diabetes, entered into the published logistic Agile 3+ = 1 / (1 + e^−logit) for advanced (≥ F3) fibrosis.
