- LC-I / LC-II
- Lateral compression: sacral compression (I) or crescent fracture (II); stable to partially stable.
- LC-III
- Windswept pelvis (ipsilateral LC + contralateral APC); unstable.
- APC-I
- Symphysis widening < 2.5 cm, anterior SI intact; stable.
- APC-II / APC-III
- Open-book (II, rotationally unstable) to complete SI disruption (III, rotationally + vertically unstable).
- VS / CM
- Vertical shear or combined mechanism; unstable.
