- B2 - around the stem, stem loose, adequate bone
Result: Vancouver type B2: fracture around the stem, the stem loose but with adequate proximal bone stock.

What the result means
- Type AG / AL
- Trochanteric fracture (greater / lesser trochanter).
- Type B1
- Around or just distal to the stem; the stem is well-fixed.
- Type B2
- Around the stem; the stem is loose but the proximal bone stock is adequate.
- Type B3
- Around the stem; the stem is loose and the proximal bone stock is deficient.
- Type C
- Well below the stem tip; the prosthesis is not involved.
