The Van Herick grade of the peripheral anterior chamber angle, estimated at the slit lamp by the ratio of the peripheral anterior chamber depth (PACD) to the corneal thickness (CT), grades 0/1/2/3/4.

What the result means
- Grade 0
- PACD = 0 (cornea in contact with iris): angle closed.
- Grade 1
- PACD < 1/4 corneal thickness: angle closure likely.
- Grade 2
- PACD = 1/4 corneal thickness: angle closure possible.
- Grade 3
- PACD = 1/4 to 1/2 corneal thickness: angle closure unlikely.
- Grade 4
- PACD at least 1 corneal thickness: angle wide open.
