Transpulmonary (mean PAP − PCWP) and diastolic (PA diastolic − PCWP) pressure gradients (Naeije 2013); with PCWP > 15 mmHg a DPG ≥ 7 marks a combined pre-/post-capillary pulmonary-hypertension pattern.

What the result means

Formulas
TPG = mean PAP − PCWP; DPG = PA diastolic − PCWP.
Classification
TPG > 12 flags a pulmonary-vascular component; with PCWP > 15, DPG ≥ 7 marks combined pre-/post-capillary PH.
