What the result means
- Class I / II
- I: no limitation. II: slight limitation; ordinary activity causes symptoms, comfortable at rest.
- Class III
- Marked limitation; less-than-ordinary activity causes symptoms, comfortable at rest.

- Symptoms of heart failure at rest; unable to do any activity without discomfort.
