What the result means

Grades 0-4
0 strenuous exercise only; 1 hurrying/slight hill; 2 slower than peers or stops at own pace; 3 stops after ~100 m; 4 too breathless to leave the house.
Use
The grade feeds the BODE index and the GOLD ABE symptom assessment; it measures disability, not airflow obstruction.
