What the result means
- Grade I / II
- I: bleed but do not prolapse. II: prolapse on straining but reduce spontaneously.
- Grade III
- Prolapse on straining or defecation and require manual reduction. An advanced grade.
- Grade IV
- Irreducible; permanently prolapsed and cannot be reduced (may be thrombosed or strangulated). Advanced.
