What the result means
- Stage 1
- Impending: foveal detachment without a full-thickness defect (1A spot, 1B ring).
- Stage 2
- A small full-thickness hole (less than 400 micrometers).
- Stage 3
- A larger full-thickness hole (400 micrometers or more) without a complete PVD.
- Stage 4
- A full-thickness hole with a complete posterior vitreous detachment (Weiss ring).
