What the result means

Type I
Bending fracture of the metaphysis (Colles, Smith).
Type II
Shearing fracture of the joint surface (Barton, radial styloid).
Type III
Compression of the articular surface (die-punch).
Type IV
Avulsion / radiocarpal fracture-dislocation.
Type V
Combined, high-velocity injuries (types I-IV combined).
