What this is

Sophie Well shows both values so the same calculation works whether you have a pump or a gravity set. Drop factors of 10, 15, 20, and 60 (microdrip) cover the common tubing.

When to use it

How this is calculated

Standard infusion arithmetic: rate (mL/hr) = volume * 60 / duration; gtts/min = volume * drop factor / duration.
