What the result means
- 1
- Fever ≥38°C without hypotension or hypoxia.
- 2
- Hypotension not requiring vasopressors, and/or hypoxia on low-flow O2 (≤6 L/min) or blow-by.
- 3
- Hypotension requiring one vasopressor, and/or hypoxia on high-flow O2 (>6 L/min) or a mask. Severe — typically ICU-level.
- 4
- Hypotension requiring multiple vasopressors, and/or hypoxia requiring positive pressure (CPAP/BiPAP/intubation). Severe.
