Blood Unit 4-Hour Window
Checks whether a blood component will finish within 4 hours of the bag being spiked, and gives the slowest pump rate that does.
Open the calculator → Runs in your browser. Data leaves only if you deliberately send a problem report from the interactive tool.
Example
- Volume left in the bag
- 300 mL
- Minutes since the bag was spiked
- 30 min
- Pump rate
- 60 mL/h
Result: Will not finish in time: 300 mL at 60 mL/h takes 5 h, 1 h 30 min past the 4-hour limit. It needs at least 86 mL/h.
The tool opens with these values already filled in. Replace them with your own.
