What the result means
- Category I
- Nondiagnostic or unsatisfactory.
- Category II
- Benign.
- Category III
- Atypia of undetermined significance (AUS/FLUS).
- Category IV
- Follicular neoplasm or suspicious for a follicular neoplasm.
- Category V
- Suspicious for malignancy.
- Category VI
- Malignant.
