What the result means
- Stage I
- Small area of subchondral compression; the overlying cartilage is intact.
- Stage II
- Partially detached osteochondral fragment (incomplete separation).
- Stage III
- Completely detached fragment remaining in the crater, without displacement (in situ).
- Stage IV
- Displaced osteochondral fragment (a loose body).
