What the result means
- Stage I
- Quiescence: a pink-bluish stain, warmth, and shunting on Doppler.
- Stage II
- Expansion: plus enlargement, pulsation, thrill, bruit, tense veins.
- Stage III
- Destruction: plus skin changes, ulceration, bleeding, pain, or necrosis.
- Stage IV
- Decompensation: plus high-output cardiac failure.
