What the result means
- Stages I-II
- No or minimal, then triangular frontotemporal recession.
- Stage III
- The minimal extent considered balding; III vertex is crown-predominant.
- Stages IV-V
- Recession and vertex loss separated by a band that narrows.
- Stages VI-VII
- Confluent bald areas; then only a horseshoe band remains.
