What the result means
- Grade 0–6
- 0 no symptoms; 1 no significant disability; 2 slight; 3 moderate (walks unaided); 4 moderately severe; 5 severe (bedridden); 6 dead.
- Dichotomy
- 0–2 is the "good outcome" stroke-trial endpoint; 3–6 is the complementary "poor outcome" framing.
