Result: Lung-RADS 4A: suspicious; 3-month LDCT, and PET or CT may be considered if a solid component is at least 8 mm.

What the result means
- 0
- Incomplete: comparison or additional imaging needed; 1-3 month LDCT if infectious or inflammatory.
- 1 / 2
- Negative / benign: continue annual screening with a 12-month LDCT.
- 3
- Probably benign: 6-month LDCT.
- 4A / 4B / 4X
- Suspicious to very suspicious: 3-month LDCT (4A) or diagnostic CT, PET or CT, and tissue sampling (4B); 4X is a category 3/4 nodule with additional suspicious features, managed as 4B.
