Example
- Kudo pit-pattern type
- V — non-structured / irregular pits (suggestive of invasion)
Result: Kudo type V: non-structured / irregular pits; suggestive of invasive carcinoma / deep submucosal invasion.

What the result means
- I / II
- Roundish (I) or stellar/papillary (II) pits. Non-neoplastic (normal or hyperplastic).
- IIIS / IIIL / IV
- Small tubular (IIIS), larger tubular (IIIL), or branch/gyrus-like (IV) pits. Neoplastic (adenoma); IIIS often depressed with the highest malignant potential of type III.
- V
- Non-structured / irregular pits. Suggestive of invasive carcinoma / deep submucosal invasion (revised: Vi irregular, VN non-structural).
