What the result means
- Grade I
- Mild: a dorsal osteophyte with a well-preserved joint space.
- Grade II
- Moderate: dorsal/medial/lateral osteophytes with joint-space narrowing and sclerosis.
- Grade III
- Severe: marked osteophytes with joint-space loss and subchondral cysts.
