El Khoury Classification (Aortic Regurgitation)
El Khoury (Boodhwani 2009) repair-oriented functional classification of aortic regurgitation (types I/II/III), by the mechanism of the aortic insufficiency.

Example
- El Khoury type
- Type II - cusp prolapse
Result: El Khoury type II: cusp prolapse - excessive cusp motion (prolapse or free-edge fenestration).
The tool opens with these values already filled in. Replace them with your own.
What the result means
- Type I
- Normal cusp motion with functional-aortic-annulus dilatation (subtypes Ia sinotubular, Ib root, Ic annular, Id perforation).
- Type II
- Cusp prolapse: excessive cusp motion (prolapse or free-edge fenestration).
- Type III
- Cusp restriction: restrictive cusp motion (retraction, calcification, or thickening).
What you enter
- El Khoury type
