What the result means
- 0 to 1
- Stage 0. Generally read as remission.
- 2 to 3
- Stage I. Generally read as remission; treatment series define clinical success as 3 or less.
- 4 to 6
- Stage II. Generally read as treatment failure when following a treated patient.

- Stage III. Generally read as treatment failure when following a treated patient.
