What the result means
- Transform
- the measured standing height is converted to an age- and sex-specific z-score by the CDC LMS transform z = ((height/M)^L − 1) / (L·S); the percentile is the standard-normal CDF of z.
- Bands
- the charted lines run 3rd to 97th percentile; below the 5th or at/above the 95th is conventionally flagged.
