ATLAS Score (AF Recurrence After PVI)
ATLAS score (Mesquita 2018): age > 60, non-paroxysmal AF, indexed LA volume, female sex, and current smoking give a score banding AF-recurrence risk after ablation (low < 6, intermediate 6–10, high > 10).

Example
- Indexed LA volume
- 34 mL/m²
- Age > 60 years
- Yes
- Non-paroxysmal AF
- No
- Female sex
- Yes
- Current smoking
- No
Result: ATLAS 8 — intermediate recurrence risk (6-10).
The tool opens with these values already filled in. Replace them with your own.
What the result means
- < 6
- Low AF recurrence after first PVI.
- 6-10
- Intermediate recurrence risk.
- > 10
- High recurrence risk. Age > 60, non-paroxysmal (+2), LA-volume index (+1/10), female (+4), smoking (+7). Not an ablation order.
What you enter
- Indexed LA volume
- Age > 60 years (+1)
- Non-paroxysmal AF (+2)
- Female sex (+4)
- Current smoking (+7)
